Teen Challenge Canada - National Addiction Awareness Week

Teen Challenge Canada Observes National Addictions Awareness Week
November 20th-26th, 2022

This year, Teen Challenge Canada will be joining other organizations across Canada in observing National Addictions Awareness Week. This important event is led by the Canadian Centre of Substance Abuse and aims to highlight issues and solutions to help address the harm caused by alcohol and drug addictions.

As a community, we are all affected by addiction in one form or another. The Canadian Mental Health Association estimates that 21% of all Canadians will struggle with addiction during their lifetime. That amounts to 6 million people! National Addictions Awareness Week facilitates the opportunity to continue our conversations about the danger related to alcohol and drugs and to talk openly about prevention, treatment, and recovery solutions.

Here at Teen Challenge Canada, we wanted to start the conversation around the risks associated with substance use and the steps involved in finding freedom from life-controlling addiction. The community that forms Teen Challenge Canada is made up of donors, community groups, volunteers and staff across Canada, that care deeply about the men and women who come through our doors looking for help with their struggle against addictions.

Teen Challenge Canada proudly stands with other rehabilitation services, non-profit organizations, and other Teen Challenge ministries to bring hope and freedom to men and women caught in addiction. And for everyone who chooses to get help through our faith-based, 12-month, in-residence program, we are ready to support you in your recovery journey!
