Donor Relations Liaison

Reporting To: Sr. Development Officer

Note: This is a full-time position directly reporting to the Sr. Development Officer; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.

As a compassionate organization whose mission is to help men and women overcome substance addictions to lead full and productive lives; the primary responsibility of the Donor Relations Liaison is responsible to help achieve annual revenue targets by executing fundraising initiatives such as outreaches, events and donor relations. The Donor Relations Liaison works in collaboration with the Development Officer, Regional Development Team members, Centre Directors and Administrative Support staff to plan and execute all local development initiatives in adherence with best practices as established by the National Office.

75% of role - Manage a Midlevel Portfolio

  • Portfolio of 450 assigned TCC donors (portfolio value TBD), aligning passions and interests of donor with TCC operational needs. Midlevel donors include individuals, businesses, corporate sponsors, churches and other within a TCC set threshold
  • Excellent administrative and people skills. Must maintain accurate and timely notes in TCC database.
  • Align donor passions and interests to TCC's mission while following business protocols and TCC best practices for impact reporting.
  • Maintain portfolio of donor prospects to move into midlevel donor pipeline
  • Regular bi-weekly reporting to manager on donor caseload.
  • Participation on event committees as necessary.
  • Provides updates for Ambassador Teams as requested.
  • Support Development & Events Coordinator in event program and event day-of needs.
  • Look for opportunities to pass potential silent auction/ prize items to DC

25% of role - Outreach Activities

  • Lead outreach teams, creating program awareness and achieve revenue and sponsor targets
  • Outreach team leader schedule
  • Client testimony training for outreach and graduations
  • Provide leads to Development & Events Coordinator for event committees and event day volunteers.
  • Identify and move midlevel donors into major gift portfolio, passing relationship to Major Gift Donor Relations Staff member.
  • Handle sensitive/ confidential materials strictly in accordance with TCC policies and procedures.
  • Able to effectively communicate and promote TCC mission and development initiatives to prospective donors
  • Promote cohesiveness and collaboration between local development teams and other departments (program, marketing, partner services, finance, HR, etc.)
  • Ensure clear and concise communication to key stakeholders
  • Participate in a workplace culture of ongoing learning and feedback.
  • Regular, timely and accurate update of relevant data in the TCC donor database.
  • Attend and report at Ambassador Team Meetings as required.
  • Ability to attend and conduct TCC presentations to local churches, businesses, board meetings
  • Work with national outreach booking team to develop outreach opportunities
