If you’re over the age of 18 and ready for change, Teen Challenge Canada can help you break free from substance use disorder.
With centres in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland, our 12-month, live-in program has helped men and women from across Canada overcome addiction, restore relationships, and live meaningful lives.
- Application Process
- Complete our online application form*.
- After submitting an application, you will be contacted by one of our Intake Coordinators.
- After completing an intake assessment, you will be asked to provide additional ID, medical, and legal forms as per our eligibility requirements**.
* Acceptance of an applicant will not be determined until all components have been received by Teen Challenge.

Please note, all applications must be completed by the applicant as our program is completely voluntary. Please ensure a valid email is provided for correspondence.
Application and Intake fees are only due upon arrival.
- Acceptance Process
Our Intake Coordinator will walk with you through the application process and will communicate with you about your admittance into the program. At times, you may be placed on a waiting list until a space is available. When a bed is open, your entrance day will be scheduled.
Please note, depending on availability, you may be asked to participate in a program at a centre in a province outside of your residence.
- Requirements & Eligibility Guidelines
Teen Challenge Canada is a 12-month, faith-based recovery program where our clients live in community at our centres during their journey. Individuals must choose to enrol in our program as it is completely voluntary.
Our treatment approach involves the complete removal of all substances that can harm the body including: alcohol, illicit drugs, and the abuse of legal drugs. As such, we are a nicotine-free and vape-free environment.
Eligibility Requirements
- Life-controlling substance abuse problem
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Commitment to a 12-month program
- Evidence of a sincere desire for help
- Willingness to consider a faith-based approach
- Ability to participate fully in regular physical activities
- Do not have a medical condition that is contagious to others
- Do not have outstanding warrants
- Not on parole
- Not listed in the National Sex Offender Registry
Upon Entry to Teen Challenge
- Immediate removal of all addictive substances (including cigarettes and vapes)
- Daily structured program
- Limited off-property privileges (passes can be earned)
- Limited outside contact (phone)
