Get Equipped
The addiction crisis in Canada reaches every corner of our nation. No community is untouched. The Canadian Mental Health Association estimates that 21% of Canadians will struggle with addiction during their lifetime. That’s more than 8 million people!
Whether it’s someone dealing with addiction, a spouse, friend, or family member, we are here to help. We proudly stand with other rehabilitation services, non-profit organizations, and other Teen Challenge organizations to bring hope and freedom to men and women looking to break free from addiction.
With over 50 years of experience helping individuals on the road to recovery, we offer the following resources to educate, inspire, and help those looking for answers.
Addiction Recovery Office (ARO)
While our centres are located on rural properties, away from the triggers and temptations of the city’s core, our Addiction Recovery Office (ARO) is in the heart of downtown Sudbury. This location allows us to connect with people in their moment of need.
Our ARO office works in partnership with other organizations to support men and women struggling with addiction, battling mental health challenges, and facing homelessness. The Outreach Program Coordinator works closely with individuals, assessing their situation and helping them connect with the resources that can help them move forward.
The ARO office in Sudbury started as a pilot project and proved to be a valuable resource. It challenges us to think creatively and be adaptive, but we are seeing the fruit of our labour. In fact, our team is actively looking to develop additional AROs to bolster our ability to help those in need.
