Thrift Store Associate
COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Teen Challenge is a 12-month, faith-based, in-residence drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, for adults 18 and older. We currently have 8 centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario that are able to serve up to 197 people who are struggling with substance addiction. We demonstrate God’s love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.
JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our team is looking for a Thrift Store Associate to join our Thrift Store team. We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused individual who enjoys working with people and contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers and donors.
In this role, you will help ensure the day-to-day operations of the Thrift Store run smoothly and efficiently. Working alongside the Thrift Store Managers, volunteers, and students, you will assist with a variety of tasks including receiving and sorting donations, preparing merchandise for sale, restocking inventory, creating attractive displays, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.
As a Thrift Store Associate, you will greet and assist customers, process sales and returns using the cash register, and provide excellent customer service while helping shoppers find what they need. You will also support the training and supervision of volunteers, contribute to maximizing store sales, and help ensure the store is organized, well-stocked, and customer-ready at all times.
