Note: This is a full-time position; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.
COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Teen Challenge is a 12-month, faith-based, in-residence drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, for adults 18 and older. We currently have 8 centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario that are able to serve up to 197 people who are struggling with substance addiction. We demonstrate God’s love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.
JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our team is looking for a full-time Addictions Counsellor that is an active member of the Addictions Counselling Association. The primary responsibility of the Addictions Counsellor is to provide one-on-one therapeutic rehabilitative counselling sessions for clients in our program while ensuring compliance with psychotherapeutic counselling standards as well as the Teen Challenge program standards. A strong understanding of Christian principles is essential in this role, as it allows the integration of faith-based guidance with therapeutic practices. As an Addictions Counsellor, you would write and implement a treatment plan for case load clients provide weekly one-on-one counselling, group sessions, relapse prevention and exit strategy planning while including and implementing biblical principles.
