Vehicle Donation FAQ
  1. Will you really accept vehicles in any condition? Yes! We accept vehicles as long as they have 4 wheels, and there are no outstanding Liens against the vehicle.
  2. How much is my vehicle worth? That depends on many factors. We have an accredited vehicle appraiser on staff who will determine the fair market value of your vehicle. You will receive the best tax receipt possible - often more than trade-in value!
  3. How soon can you pick up my vehicle? The vehicle donation process usually takes between 2-3 weeks. Once you complete the vehicle questionnaire and send us your vehicle information package with the ownership, we will contact you for a pick-up time.
  4. What do you do with the vehicles? Teen Challenge has become well known for its unique vehicle donation program. Each year, hundreds of vehicles are donated. The students in the program work with staff, detailing and performing minor mechanical repairs on the vehicles. Through this, students learn to work as a team and are better prepared for re-entering the workforce.
Proceeds from the sales of donated cars, mini-vans, trucks, boats and RVs are used to fund our life-changing programs.
  5. How do I begin the process of donating my vehicle? Gather your vehicle ownership and exact odometer reading and either: call us at 1-888-417-7777, or complete our online vehicle donation questionnaire.
  6. I don't have my ownership - can I still donate my vehicle? Yes! You will have to go to the Ministry of Transportation office nearest you and request a duplicate copy. You will need proof of identification.
  7. Will you take vehicles other than cars and trucks? Yes! We accept RVs, trailers, motorcycles, boats, and other vehicles. Please give us a call at 1-888-417-7777 to discuss your donation.
  8. The ownership is not my name - can I still donate? Yes! However, the ownership must be signed by the person whose name is listed on the front in order to complete the donation.
  9. Can the receipt be put in a name other than what's on the ownership? Unfortunately, Ministry of Transportation and Canada Revenue Agency regulations require us to receipt the official owner of the vehicle.
  10. Can I send a photocopy of my ownership? No. We need the original ownership of the vehicle in order to accept your donation.
