Teen Challenge is excited to announce the potential 2011 opening of Teen Challenge Ottawa Valley. Thanks to the generous transfer of a 198 acre property near Renfrew, Ontario, Teen Challenge plans to launch a 20-bed men’s centre. The rural property comes with a staff residence, dormitory and heated work shop. Teen Challenge wants to thank New Connections Ministries, a non-profit charitable group working in the Ottawa area since 1993 to bring support and biblical counselling to inmates, former inmates and their families. “We are excited that this wonderful facility will continue to be utilized by a Christian organization that focuses on helping men struggle with various forms of addiction,” said Phil Priddle, Board Chair of New Connections Ministries. “With Teen Challenge taking over this facility, New Connections will be able to continue with its original focus…The need remains great in the Ottawa area and we believe that the new presence of Teen Challenge will enable many more lives to be healed and transformed than would have been previously possible.” George Glover, National Director for Teen Challenge Inc.
