1-866-968-9450 Never before have so many been searching for freedom from drug and alcohol problems. But where can they turn to find real help and answers to the problems that beset them? Teen Challenge is an interdenominational residential drug rehab program with a 50-year history - now operating in over 82 countries with over 1,000 locations worldwide. Through independent research, statistics show that over 70% of Teen Challenge graduates remain clean and drug-free when surveyed five years after finishing the program. This can be compared to many secular programs with less than a 10% cure rate!
Many goals need to be met to get our doors open in Newfoundland and Labrador. Here are just a few of the things that need to happen: Goal #1: Teen Challenge needs to raise $100,000. This will allow us to hire a full-time director and a support worker, as well as cover other administrative costs. This gets us to first base. Goal #2: Once goal #1 has been met, the next step is to start raising funds to purchase a facility and cover 2 years of operating costs. Right now, we are not sure how much this will cost, but it will certainly be substantial. This will require more miracles - but we know God can do it! Goal #3: Once goal #2 has been met, the final step will be the search for a property with the right zoning that can accommodate at least 25 young men. We've agreed that we can't start looking at 'where to locate' until we have a reasonable amount of cash raised to purchase a property. So, we're not going to concentrate on a building or location right now! There's a lot to do - but precious lives throughout Newfoundland and Labrador will one day thank you for a new start in life at Teen Challenge! Please pray and ask the Lord what you can do to help.
