| February 26th Grad Report |
|
Teen Challenge Farm celebrated on Friday February 26th with 3 students who have now graduated from the one-year program. We met at Royal View Church in London. Here are some highlights. Thank you to every one who made it out to the graduation inspite of the inclement weather. This program is not possible without the steadfast support of our sponsors. Thank you!Nick shared with family and friends, "I want to thank the Lord for softening my heart. [It's] Only by God's grace that I'm here and not in the grave or in jail." Nick is enrolled in Firefighting school in March and we wish him the best. David shared that Teen Challenge changed his life and was thankful for the restored family relationships: "God has given me a second chance." David will be pursuing a couple of different career options. Steve says he came in angry, sad and lonely, but decided to give the program his all. He took the time to thank the people who had prayed for him through all the months and years leading up to his entry into Teen Challenge, but also all the sponsors and family who prayed him through the program. Steve will do an internship at Teen Challenge Saskatchewan. Coaching Coordinator David Stoesz charged the graduates to remember their hardened hearts before they entered Teen Challenge. "We're not here to make them feel better, but to build character -- to bring them to a place of softness and love." He turned to the 3 grads sitting in the front row, "Never, ever, let your heart go back to that hard place." Pray for these three as they embark on a new journey in life. Pray, as we do, that these young men may do justice, love mercy and walk humbly. (Micah 6:8) Thank you to all the sponsors who made these life changes possible. Rick Walton,
Director, Teen Challenge Farm
