| January Graduation Celebration |
|
The January graduation at the Farm celebrated the achievement of Remo. He requested that the Choir sing Amazing Grace because he said, "I was that wretch!" The Choir began the evening with an uplifting time of worship and praise receiving a standing ovation from those gathered. A touching video of Remo's testimony had many in tears. Farm Director, Rick Walton described Remo as Resilient. Remo continued to bounce back after set-backs and kept moving forward. Rick praised Remo for his Energy for God, being Mission oriented with his work with Youth For Christ, and for being focussed on Others and not himself. When presented with his certificate, Remo raised his arms in victory to a crowd of encouraging brothers. "I want to thank God for the sponsors, because you make that place work!" Remo held up three chains: One chain represented the lies he had believed about himself and others, another chain was for his addictions and the third chain was the one that had made him a slave to sin. He threw them down and raised his arms in victory. Thank God Almighty, free at last! In the Charge to the Graduate, Remo was encouraged to cast off the old self continuously, live justly with mercy and walk humbly. Good advice. Continue to hold Remo up in prayer as he serves God while pursuing his GED, working and being a Dad. Teen Challenge Farm celebrates with graduates on the last Friday of each month at Royal View Church in London, ON.
